Osaka Exchange, Inc. (OSE) is pleased to announce that single stock options (SSOs) recorded a trading volume of 3,191,908 contracts and notional trading value of approximately JPY 695.2 billion in the first half of FY2026 (April-September), both record highs for a fiscal half-year period.

Since the expansion of issues eligible for market making in August 2026, trading in SSOs has continued to grow. This trend is driven by the robust performance of TSE’s equity market, increased trading activity in SSOs capitalizing on various investment catalysts—such as earnings announcements by listed companies—and the growing adoption of SSOs by a broader range of investors. In addition, quotes may be available for certain SSOs with investor demand, even if they are not eligible for market making.

In response to these market trends and the needs of investors, OSE will add two issues, Japan Physical Gold ETF (1540) and Kioxia Holdings Corporation (285A), which will be eligible for market making from November 2026.
