The Orient Cables IPO entered its third and final day of bidding on Tuesday, with the issue witnessing strong demand so far. In the grey market, the IPO is currently commanding a GMP of 27%, indicating that the shares are being traded at a premium to the issue price in the unofficial market.On Day 2, the IPO was subscribed 8.32 times overall, with bids received against 1.49 crore shares on offer.

The Retail Individual Investors (RIIs) category was subscribed 9.16 times, against 74.88 lakh shares reserved for the segment.The Rs 552-crore Orient Cables IPO is a book-built issue comprising a fresh issue of 1.18 crore shares worth Rs 320 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of 85.29 lakh shares worth Rs 232 crore.The allotment is expected to be finalised on September 30, while the shares are likely to list on the NSE and BSE on October 5, 2026, subject to the applicable timelines.The company has fixed the IPO price band at Rs 258–272 per share, with a lot size of 55 shares.

At the upper end of the price band, retail investors will need a minimum investment of Rs 14,960 for one lot.IIFL Capital Services Ltd. and JM Financial Ltd. are the book-running lead managers to the issue, while KFin Technologies Ltd.

is the registrar.Orient Cables IPO Subscription StatusOn the second day of bidding, the Orient Cables IPO was subscribed 8.32 times overall, with bids received against 1.49 crore shares on offer.The Retail Individual Investors (RIIs) category was subscribed 9.16 times, against 74.88 lakh shares reserved for the segment.The Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs) category saw stronger demand, with the issue subscribed 17.37 times, against 32.09 lakh shares on offer.The Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) category was subscribed 6%, against 32.09 lakh shares offered.Orient Cables IPO GMP TodayThe latest grey market premium (GMP) for the Orient Cables IPO stands at Rs 72 per share, or around 27%, over the upper price band of Rs 272 per share.Based on the current GMP, the estimated listing price is around Rs 344 per share.

However, GMP is an unofficial and unregulated market indicator and does not guarantee the actual listing price of the IPO. It can fluctuate before listing depending on market conditions and investor sentiment.IPO Objects of the IssueThe Orient Cables (India) IPO plans to use the net proceeds to fund its capital expenditure requirements, including purchasing machinery and equipment and civil works at its manufacturing facilities.

Around Rs 91.50 crore has been earmarked for this purpose.The company also proposes to utilise Rs 155.50 crore towards the repayment or prepayment of certain outstanding borrowings, either fully or partially. The remaining proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.Financial PerformanceOrient Cables (India) Ltd.’s total income increased 42% to Rs 1,182 crore in FY26, compared with Rs 832 crore in FY25.
